Effects of Credit Checks
Participants will understand the value of a good credit score and the costs of being credit invisible or having a poor credit score.


- Materials needed for the session.
- Follow-along facilitator instructions and speaking prompts.
- 1-2 discussion questions with sample answers (10 total).
- Instructions for leading a small group activity regarding how individuals' experiences with accessing different services differ depending on their credit score.
- A worksheet for participants to complete during the activity that lists different types of services and asks participants to write down how the experience of accessing them will differ for characters with good, poor, or no credit scores.
- 11 session summary discussion questions and an answer key for the instructor to summarize the key takeaways at the end of the session.
- An optional worksheet for the participants to answer wrap-up discussion questions in a written form.
- Venue: make room arrangements.
